FAQ
I don’t see my condition listed. Can you still help me?
The best way to figure that out is to chat with me for a few minutes. Depending on what your concern is, how long you’ve had it, I can give you a general idea of which therapy or combination of therapies can help you, and how long it would take.
How long does it take for me to feel better?
It depends on your concern and how long you’ve had it. Roughly speaking, my patients have generally seen significant improvement in the first 5 treatments - whether telehealth or in-person. If you’ve had chronic back pain for 8 years, it will take longer to resolve than if you have had back pain for a few weeks.
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance for many reasons. However, I am an out-of-network provider. You would pay the cost of the session, and then I provide you with an insurance-friendly receipt that you submit to your insurance company for reimbursement,
What is Chinese Medicine?
Chinese Medicine is a system that views the entire body and its physiological processes as a whole. This includes the respiratory system, digestion, metabolism, nervous system, your emotions and mental health, and the rest. As a practitioner, I view the body as a holistic and interdependent system, and you as a complete whole.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Generally, no. You may feel a slight sensation at first. The needles are really thin - as thin as your hair - and are inserted very superficially at the level of the fascia for most treatments.
